implications for therapy, prevention and justice

Abstract:

My presentation naturally focuses on the progresses oft he work group on „Disorders specifically associated with stress“ that basically comprise the trauma sequelae disorders since I have been member of this international group since 2011. WHO organized and still organizes a series of internationally collaborative multicenter studies on this and other diagnostic groupings. Results of these studies will be presented. The work group on dissociative disorders – chaired by Ellert Nijenhuis, PhD – in parallel developed their proposals for ICD-11 diagnostic definitions, which will be presented as well. My presentation will touch arguments pro and con a closer move together of these two areas of psychopathology for the future.
